Well some people may not like their loved ones be frozen after death in a freezer. After all grave robbing poses no health risks, but it is still (IMO, properly) a crime.

He hasnt done anyone any harm; i dont understand how what he did can be considered a crime...unless the woman's family want to press charges. There you have it. One of the reasons why there are some strict codes of what you can and can't do with a body is based on public safety. Suppose there was a power outage, and this woman's corpse began rotting in the Arizona heat? Suppose she was carrying some sort of disease?

Humans have a rather nasty history with pathogens being spread by the careless disposal of dead bodies. It's a public health issue.

We don't know if the cats were already dead. See my earlier point on this. He claimed he wanted his wife "cryogenically" frozen, presumably for the purpose of reviving her at a later time. What if he had frozen live cats to see if it would work? Note how he claims the cats were there for "research." What kind of research? What does that mean?

I'm not accusing him of anything, but I think it's suspicious enough to warrant an investigation into just how his wife and those cats died.
