Yeah, I knew a guy in HS that could shotgun a soda in just under 2 seconds... Somehow he could open his throat completely, and hold it like that... THe only problem was he would sometimes belch so hard stuff would come up

The key is to make a very large hole. Maybe 1" by 2". Lay your tongue along it to keep the soda in there. Then get it up and in position with head tilted back. And pull. and suck.
