At last I have replaced my Athlon 700 system which I have been saying I was going to do for a while but never quite got around to. Well I was feeling rich and compelled yesterday, so I went and bought all the bits and put it together:
Pentium IV 3000MHz (800MHz FSB)
1GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM
MSI Neo2 motherboard (look it up if you want more info
)
GeForceFX 5900 (
)
160GB 7200rpm HDD
Not bad, not bad
I haven't bought a new monitor yet...I want 22" but it wouldn't fit on my desk, so I will have to wait until I get a place of my own and a bigger desk. My nephew will be getting my cast-offs as he wants a computer...(he's only 5

and (2)I'm a little more pragmatic here. I bought an Athlon because they were the quickest back then. Simple fact is, they are not now, and it is especially misleading with that silly + rating thing which should have been dead and buried years ago...
