I don't have any players in my fantasy side from either team so I can watch for pleasure. Hope Liverpool can play some nice football and make it a good game.

I know, we can live in hope though. They can't be as boring as that all season.

My prediction is that Everton will hand them a good hammering...

Since Thomas Gravesen plays for Everton, there can be only one outcome. When the Reds see him they will run scared back to the dressing room.

Three - nil for the Reds. Owen is making my entry into the Poly fantasy football league a rather auspicious one.

Three -nil at full time. It would've been nice if Owen had got his hat-trick, but the clean sheet for Dudek will placate me.

Here's hoping Henry lights up Man City on Sunday.

Don't laugh at them. Newcastle are the laughingstock of the league at the moment.

I went to the Man U game last week and they were pathetic. It looks like Man U can't gloat about that as Newcastle just got beat by Brum at home, following the CL ignominy in midweek.

Robson has lost it - I just hope the board sacks him before we are in a relegation battle.

On a fun note - to confirm the thesis that no Man U fans are from Manchester, I walked past the scum buses outside SJP after last week's game and I could see ones from Oxford, Durham and other destinations South, but none from Manchester.

Once United equalised in that game they looked like putting 3 or four past Newcastle. The Toon should just be relieved that they didn't... but didn't Newcastle get off to a similarly atrocious start last year...?

Newcastle were better than Man U by quite a way in the first half, but Taggart brought Scholes into the middle for the second and Newcastle just seemed to lose interest and with it all cohesion (which so far they have not managed to recover). We nearly grabbed an equaliser at the end though. But it was one of the poorest performances I've witnessed (and I've seen some shockers in the last 24 years). We don't have a good battling midfield general. Speed is about the closest, but he's too old and Jenas is too young for what they want him to do.

Having said that, Rennie had a ridiculously bad game, although I don't think that would have affected the outcome.
