But I think our system is pretty good. Except that it's not able to answer the demands of students, that is have enough places to rent them. But the basic idea is OK in my opinion. You still get to party all you want and then some, but you also have to be independent. Those large campus areas etc dorms are quite impossible considering our infrastructure and how much money it would cost to set them up. Sure it would be fun, but our system is not that bad.In da butt.

Plus most major european universities are right smack in the middle of cities, so it's difficult to set up the whole campus thing, with so many buildings spread out all over the city.

I live on the seventh floor in a concrete hell a million miles away from everything that's remotely interesting including the institute. I wouldn't trade it for a dorm room under any circumstances
