well of course they get bullied into it...The quotes from some of the students in the initial article suggest that even if they are technically allowed to refuse they will get bullied into it.
that's why stupid pledges and religious practices should not be in schools... how can anyone expect our basic 1st Amendment freedoms to be protected when PUBLIC schools sanction such practices.
