BTW, Nick Griffin's father holds views along the same lines as his son.

What do we think Nick Griffin's father spent the war years doing?

I doubt it, they can only win in really low turnout elections.

They'll never get anywhere in politics. However, like most other fringe parties, their voice will subtly shift the mainstream in that direction.

I'm sure EndisForever could show us the argument saying that it's actually only ever fringe parties that really affect modern democracies...depends how involved his course is though.

If you mean fighting in the army, its a little much to spin it like that because Britain didnt get involved beyond appeasement until its arse and treaty with poland was threatened. If people really wanted to defend the lives of jews, Britain would have done more in '33.

The problem with the BNP is that many/most of their policies are populist, conservative bull, clearly inspired by popular prejudices, patriotic fallacies and a far-right conservative agenda that even most conservatives would admit has all the functionality of a dead rabbit.

This is what you get when a party is largely inspired and populated by beer drinking retarded idiots (no offence Bodds), and not people who actually know what theyre doing. I dont deny that they represent the voice of many in Britain. The problem is that the people behind that voice have no idea how to run a country!

the last general election had an overall turnout of 55%, and it dosn't seem like it will get much better.

Do I really need to call the idiocy of the uneducated masses? Or just the idiocy of the uneducated?

Elijah, many of the BNP's policies are left-wing, especially economically.

saying this about fascist/ far right paries is somewhat misleading, its not leftwing in the socialist/red sense, but is a social democrat sense.

Bodds: Thats even worse! In case you haven't noticed, I'm a libertarian liberal, which means very free market. You're taking the worse parts of the left, and the worse of the right, and merging them together in a drunk, unthinking party, operating on concepts that subject to any decent critical or philosophical analysis, fall apart like the communities afflicted by this party.

Their main strengths are actually having an immigration policy, and also being truly against crime rather than for the criminal.

Tell me another party in Britain that is the above.
