Maybe they all got outed in the changing room at 13 and were made to give up the game for the sake of all. Communism at its best.

e.i.f the djemba-djemba incident springs to mind, a yellow card and a good talking to on a bad day, maybe, but a red card and suspension, pull the other one...

we actually had a gay bloke playing for us when we got relegated (talking about the team i used to play for), he wasn't camp or anything, just rubbish but yeah i think you won't that many gay people playing football, it's a bit like asians, i can't think of one (sub-continient) asian who gets a regular game in the premiership, although that said leeds have an excellent indian left-winger coming through, called harpal singh. the reason is probably that most young asians don't play football, they prefer other sports. it's the same with gays, except most gays just hate sport

Did he go down in the box too easily? (sorry! )

As for a the Asian thing, when I played Sunday football you'd never hear the last of it after the game if you got 'skinned' by an Asian player, they were percieved to be slow

well in the somerset leagues you don't get to play against many asians but this one time we played a team from bristol (this was when we were in the regional league) with a really quick asian striker, we were 2-0 down at half time because of him, luckily thouhgh i absolutley clattered him at the start of the second half and he had to go off injuried (and i only got a yellow ), we went on to pull it back to 2-2 .

Ah, the ideals of the Corinthian spirit are alive and well in amateur football!
