Looks like OBL's friends hate the UN even after the UN tried everything in its power to save Sadam.

How can that be when Saddam was sooooooooo supportive of Bin Laden?

Either bring the troops home, or level Baghdad.
Those are the 2 options, as I see it.
Iraqi's need to take some responsibility for what's happening.

In any case, withdrawl from the U.N. is still needed.

They never were and everyone but the Republicans knew it. Heck, deep down even the Republicans knew it but it was just so politically convient to pretend other wise.

Maybe some Baathites are unhappy at UN failure to contain american aggression.

                  Who in iraq? The citizenry?

I saw how pissed off people got after a day and a half of blackout - They haven't had juice for 3 months! In 130 degree weather! Whose problem is it they had smoke blown up their ass about a post -saddam democracy and they can't even get basic necessities.

                  I don't condone what they're doing, but I can't blame anyone either.

Why do you equate Bin Laden's feelings for Hussein with this?
Actually, you prove the point of support.

Wrong, Jac. It took weeks before the Iraqi Police force came out to take responsibility for looting.

How pissed off will the population be then ?

The first one was just a reply, the second stated a possible reason. No troll here.

What a stunning success that has been. Still, at least the UN made the Bushies agree to a UN sanctioned government before they throw out the old government. That meant the period of time in which no government was functioning was kept to a minimum.

Compare and contrast with Bush's Iraq policy.

Not so. They have had at least 8/24 hours of juice for some time now.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
