*Disclaimer*---------------------------> THIS POST CONTAINS A FEW SPOILERS!!! IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEE THE MOVIE DONT READ. JUST KNOW ITS PRETTY MUCH WORTH IT.
Now then, with that out of the way. Lets get to it. The plot was kinda iffy, left much to be desired. Yet somehow, the producer did a very well job in bringing the two together from both movies. Originally the movie starts with Jason emerging from a burial in Crystal Lake after dreaming about freddy, Dont worry this fits in later. Jason, goes to Elm street and starts murdering people. You see, Freddy needs to be feared in order to kill. But the problem is...Freddy has been largely forgotten. The hustle and Bustle of present day has made the world forget him. So he brainwashes Jason into killing people on Elm street, to get people to remember him. Basically, making him stronger. Jason Kills several dozen people (One scene at a rave was really good, a few dozen punks fought with him in a cornfield. No prizes for guessing who won But all in all a nice fight scene). The punks catch on to whats going on, and devise ways to kill both freddy and Jason suddenly realising that the best way was to make them each fight each other in the REAL-World. Basically what turns freddy against Jason is he begins killing too many people and they start talking and fearing Jason and not freddy. So freddy makes someone sleep-walk with tranquilizers and brings Jason into the dream world. What follows in a half an hour fight in "Freddy's World" Which has somewhat good special effects. But freddy clearly gets the best of Jason in this one. But one of the girls from the rave i mentioned earlier falls asleep and brings Freddy into the real world. The tranquilizer wears off on Jason and the two begin to do battle, at, you guessed it. Camp Cystal Lake What follows is a very packed fight in which Jason comes out the winner and freddie loses. However there is room for a sequel due to an event at the very end.
Overall the movie was pretty good. Definately worth seeing. The movie definately has its moments and nudity. Like the Pothead who freaks out and falls asleep and is eatin by a trippy worm. And the rave fight scene I mentioned earlier. Very good humor, Some moments of fear expected, then a double dose which really got me (not much of the double-fear try, but very predicatable after awhile). The fight scenes were pretty good. Acting was adequate. I give it a 7/10. Not to bad for a movie that they said would suck.
The theatre was packed, everybody enjoyed it.
