A head UGandan Govt. officail (forgot his name) said on BBC that those sort of trials make funny heroes out of people, and the way he died was probably a good enough punishment.
I am sure someone might have a link to what he said properly though.eimi men anthropos pollon logon, mikras de sophias

So no one should ever be tried for war crimes? The opinion of a Ugandan gov. offical is just that, an opinion of this one guy.

Ah, another SOB bites the dust , good, let's hope these come in three too, certainly enough of them to get good odds.Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

tsk sava, that typical "revenge" mentality is no good.. on the contrary it only makes things worse;
of course i'm not unhappy that Amin's dead, but what does it matter anyway, he's been out of power for so long and it would have been better if he was tried for what he did"An archaeologist is the best husband a women can have; the older she gets, the more interested he is in her." - Agatha Christie
