  • Indeed. Wasn't the Nicene Creed, at the time of Constantinople the first time the Church officially declared the Divinity of Jesus? Interesting, too, the Council of Nicaea was also when the New Testament was officially decided (which Gospels to include and exclude, etc.).

No, that isn't it at all. There is much anti-masonic propaganda that has sprung up over the centuries. A lot actually was started by the Catholic Church in order to discredit the Templars.

Spiffor, you are technically correct. It is a subject that I love to discuss and tell people about but I have to try to be careful not to reveal knowledge that has been passed on to me. One item that has received media attention is the contention that the Templars have possesion of the Ark of The Covenant. It is supposedly buried in Rosecrans(sp?) Cathedral in Scotland.

      • I didn't say that was what they found - I have no idea WHAT they actually found, if anything. I'm just citing a fairly common theory.

And by the way, if the Masons are working to better humanity, how is withholding knowledge working in anyone's favor? Come on, we're all anonymous here, out with it man!

It is not really all that hard to find out...But I won't tell. The easiest way is to become a mason. (Not that I am suggesting that...it is a decision that must be freely entered into).

            • Knowledge is one of those interesting commodities that must be sought rather than given to have real value. Best I can do.

              • Interesting.

Moving right along, though, I had asked about Paganism and the Masons/Templars associations with it. Is this true, and/or something you're willing to discuss?

                • There is no association with any religion in Masonry. Many different beliefs hold elements of the truth even while their ideaology is false. Masonry has worked to identify these truths and to pass them down in time. While some of these may have come from what we now consider Pagan beliefs does not make them less true.
