That's very true. The people that make the decisions (whether it be a council or all of the society) are going to listen to a Doctor over a Construction Worker usually, because the Doctor is much more respected and has more prestige in the community.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Doctors and such can be influencial or they can not be. It depends more on how they express themselves. I get your point though.

Uber Krux I still want to discuss your idea about the end of capitalism. How can the majority of people achieve upperclass status with the exploitive nature of capitalism? It doesn't add up. Profit comes from wages. How can more people start earning profit and less people work for wages? Are there going to be super poor? If their wage is below subsistance they will die.

Prestige doesn't mean brains, and that's too bad. I believe in an "Aristocracy of Talent" the best people for the job, always.

          Seldom happens though.

This can happen due to globalization and the corresponding exploitation of the 3rd world.

Anyhow globalization adds a new twist into the marxist picture of society. Now a country can't be considered as a quasi-closed system, and subdivision into classes becomes perhaps more relevant on the world stage rather than within a given country.
Freedom is just unawareness of being manipulated.
