TCO, I got my g/f a necklace one her first birthday when we were dating. Nothing too expensive, but a nice one. She loved it. Something like that would go a long way, I bet.

That depends on how wealthy you are, about 150 bucks sounds reasonable to me- more if you're rich. It should look pretty. Bear in mind what her skin tone is: my g/f has fairly dark skin, eyes and hair and because of it looks a lot better in gold jewelry than in silver. She also suits autumn colours of stones for that same reason. A fair-skinned blonde may very possibly have different requirements.
