  • Is cheating worse when...

... they cheat with someone of a different gender to you?

I was just thinking, because in Friends Carol was never really reffered to as having cheated on Ross all that time ago - becuase she had slept with a woman and come out as a lesbian.

Guys, would you find it worse if your girlfiend cheated on you with a woman or a guy? Or are they both the same?

Why would there be a difference ?

You should answer the question as well.

I suppose in a way it would be less bad if he cheated with a girl - because at least I wouldn't be comparing myself to the guy he cheated with...

If they've already said they're bi, I guess it's a different matter too though...

Nah... I think cheating gets worse if it's with a close friend or relative of the person getting cheated on. I doubt gender matters. If anything, if my SO turned out to be a lesbo and was cheating on me; it might be less painful because then I know it was more about sexual identity than infidelity. Although, it would still hurt because I would hope that we would have enough honesty in our relationship... which we do.

Sava - just reading your sigs - Fez is older than me?! I thought he was younger!

Anyhoo, enough threadjacking my own thread. Nice answer

I guess if they were confused about sexual orientation then they have less blame...

Plus, I would be in a great position to make her feel guilty in hopes of getting her to let me watch.

I mean, how often do you get to witness a lesbo-lick-fest... without paying for it!

How "confused" can you be if you are attracted enough to have sex with him/her.

My ex actually proposed to his girlfriend. People have done some extreme things to try to cover up their sexuality.

I'm sure they have. This still doesn't give justification to your claim that people can freely cheat in an established relationship so long as they can claim they were confused about their sexulity.

As a side-point, I also questioned why someone would be confused if they were sure enough of their attraction that they were willing to have sex with someone.

You don't have to be attracted to someone to be pushed into sex with them. If you do have sex with somoeone yet are attracted to someone of a different gender at the same time then you're bisexual (to whatever degree).

I also don't believe that people can freely cheat - I just think that there are certain circumstances in which the situtation is not as bad.
