Genesis and KC are my favorites. Also voted for Yes because they had a few prog classics. And 'Other' for Radiohead and Tool.

I like Pink Floyd and Genesis. But I didn't vote, 'cause I refuse to vote in a poll that has no banana option.

Im not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

          1) Zappa- he's satirical, even his music reflects his sarcasm.

          2) Earth Wind and Fire - possitive, connects me with the Spirit in each of us, so I can skip the "society is nuts" part, and connect to what's underneath.

          3) Pink Floyd - all their songs are "relevent" and capture the surrrealness in life, but depressing.

          4) Genessis- great lyrics, but music isn't innovative, doesn't reflect surrealness of life.

I voted for King Crimson - back in my teenage years I had everything they had done.

If I were to rank the options it would be:

            1. King Crimson
            2. Pink Floyd
            3. Yes
            4. Camel
            5. Emmerson Lake and Palmer
            6. Marillion
            7. Genesis
            8. Dream Theater (they only come last because I haven't heard them)

Well, they are prog-metal and don't really fit in with most of the others.
I also voted for Dream Theater and I agree that they are more prog-metal. I have to say I'm more into prog-metal than rock, Kingston Wall being pretty much the only prog-rock band I listen to.

I wonder if Genesis would have been higher if it had split after Gabriel left it... Or Hacektt... Or if Collins died in a car accident somewhere around 1980...
I think many people dislike Genesis only because they dislike Collins; or because they are disappointed wit late Genesis commercialisation. Still, I think that only King Crimson can match Genesis.
