Fez, you are correct. CSU is just as good as the UC for the sake of learning, and undergrad degrees... I am debating going to UCSJ for my masters even, and their program looks ver intensive.

While UCs do get alot of research grants, CSUs get local funding from companies which can be very useful and can offer very challenging higher educational studies...

Like I said, with the CSU you need to be picky, dependent on what you want to study, this is true with the UCs too...

Note: Cal Poly SLO is in the CSU system it is highly regarded as a top tech school... CSUF has one of the best ag programs in the world.... CSUStanislas has one of the best baseball teams... CSUSD has a great football team... CSUSac has great engineering programs.... Ain't nothing wrong with the undergrad programs at the state level

I majored in Geology and several of our facalty were very well know in that field.

Why I chose CSUN was because of its political science program mainly.

Thanks for the good post.. you been very helpful...

Jesus Christ! What do they teach there?

Seriously Fez, I advise you to shut up in tutorials, else you'll be laughed out of the place.

I am sure the UC system is very fine but I am not getting anything less valuable in the CSU system. I got into a discussion with MtG about this, but assured him the CSU school I am going to is just as good as any UC one.
CSU is a good system and you will get a quality education there. The only real difference between the two is undergraduates get to do research (if they want) at UC and their professors will be more famous. Plus the UC campuses tend to be older with much more elaborate architecture. The quality of both is very good though.

As I said the political science departments is one of the largest in the state for CSU schools.

I have a right to voice my opinion... and it would be you the one being laughed out. You fool.

I am thankful for having a life, as the humankind knows it.
I am also thankful for the infinite thirst for the continual of this life, without which I would have nothing inside my mind, as I understand it.

                          Nothing else, really.

You've never been to a university have you?

There are plently of regular right wing people at them, who are considered reasonable; but your over the top fascism will be regarded as comical, even by them.

How do you think people will react to:

"you provide no arguments... you provide NOTHING! And yet you want to destroy capitalism... you criminal!"

The CSU schools are mostly for locals. The out of staters and international students mostly go to the UC schools since they have the big names.

Also there are several excellent private schools in the state like Stanford and USC but they cost so much that only the super rich can go to them. I'm a public university graduate and I'm proud to have gone to a public school.
