UCSB was something like 72% female and 28% male. A fair number of both were gay but as long as you didn't have a peg leg a guy stood and excellent chance of getting laid on any given weekend and that is something I was very thankful for when I was in college.

That must have been along time ago, because in '93 it would of cost me 35,000 to go to USC! Maybe 15,000?My undergrad education cost ~1500 $US a year (not a semester) and was the equivalent of most US private school undergrads...Comment

There's too much work in philosophy depts for the tenured staff to do by themselves. Especially here at U of T where they get a lot of research time. Many courses are taught by fourth or fifth year PhD students. I'm teaching one next semester.Only feebs vote.Comment
