    UCSB was something like 72% female and 28% male. A fair number of both were gay but as long as you didn't have a peg leg a guy stood and excellent chance of getting laid on any given weekend and that is something I was very thankful for when I was in college.

            My undergrad education cost ~1500 $US a year (not a semester) and was the equivalent of most US private school undergrads...
            That must have been along time ago, because in '93 it would of cost me 35,000 to go to USC! Maybe 15,000?

                Even the UC was 1200/quarter = about 3600 per year (yes 3 quarters)

                  There's too much work in philosophy depts for the tenured staff to do by themselves. Especially here at U of T where they get a lot of research time. Many courses are taught by fourth or fifth year PhD students. I'm teaching one next semester.

                        I mentioned that TAs don't count. But they don't teach a course themselves. That's why they're "assistants", not "teachers"
