    I upgraded my S3 ViRGE from 4MB to 8MB by installing a daughterboard.

    God that was long ago...

      I have some onboard Intel 82 something-something graphics card that is only 4 megs or 8 megs. It was horrible because I bought Rise of Nations and can't even play it until I get a new graphics card.

        You could go to a second-hand computer parts store, and find many cheap 8mb cards lying around. More than likely being used to prop shelves up or under table legs to stop the table from wobbling.

          Ill sell you an old ATI rage 128 pro PCI vid card. Its 12mb and still has functioning drivers. Not a bad card.

          oh and btw. Avp is ****in old, 1998. Im with avp2 now (which is also old)

                I saw Monks post in the RON forum on the fact he couldn't run the game due to his graphics card....$20 for a GeForce 2 from EBAY? C'Mon splash out, the game IS worth it :O)

                  I think my laptop's graphics card was 2 mb

                      It will run on 12. 16 is recommended. 8 is min.

                            Wasn't there a problem with "Alien versus Predator" needing a graphics accelerator card, which they forgot to mention on the box?

                            If so, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the onboard acceleration of modern cards is incompatible with whatever AvP needs.
