It is now appearing as if this may have been a much more successful raid than just the death of Qusay and Udai. There are now reports coming out that documents identifying resistence leaders are being uncovered. To make this a real benefit we must move fast.

This is going to provide a boost for the morale of US forces, and give Bush a boost at home. Job well done. But this is by no means slowing down.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

I was wrong. We didn't find out about their location from a captured prisioner we found out because one of their men sold them out to get the bounty. If Judas's gold worked here then maybe it will work for Saddam.

I did too. I cheered... but those in Baghdad cheered even more. Spit in the face for anti-war folks.

So many people were firing weapons into the air in celebration that reporters said it sounded like a major firefight.

Plato, the reward for Saddam is $25 million. Why don't you pack your bags, fly to Iraq, find out where Saddam is, report it, and become rich. Nothing at all is preventing you, or anyone else for that matter, from becoming rich with a little effort.

Of course, you also could end up dead. Which is why, I believe, Saddam and his sons have be able to remain at large until now. The person who turned in the two sons had loads of courage.

                          $30 million worth of courage.

No doubt there was a load of courage involved or the prize would have been claimed before now. Didn't mean to imply anything different. Still wish I had known where they were. $30 mil for both. Obviously worth the cost.

This shows the US means business when it says it is there to liberate the Iraqi people. And now the Iraqi people know this too.

**** the liberals, the US was right about this.
