Why not just read CFRs? DMV codes (those are huge)? Those giant law books?

Blah, you don't have to read them.

Yet you must read Harry Potter - Satan commands you!!!

There was a book I read years ago about a jewish guys life. He spent his youth in the warsaw ghetto. The story has always stuck with me. It was called For those I loved . It was autobiographical but I can't remember his name (Martin....???)

That's the reason why it should stay.

But you can always replace it with "The end of Eternity" by Isaac Asimov. It is definitely much more funier to read

/The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: A Trilogy in Five Parts/ by Douglas Adams

If you haven't read THGTTG, you haven't lived.

I know someone will nominate Joseph Heller's /Catch-22/, so I am not going to myself.

                        Let's... say...
/The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark/ by Carl Sagan

There really aren't that many books that truly belong on such a list. Carl Sagan's definitely do.

Huh? Normally, books people suggest are supposed to have a common theme.
