They'd stop shooting up the place if they wanted us there.
Well, they did stop. But they can only stay still for so long in a volatile situation like this, especially when Taylor refuses to leave. Now that they've started up again, I guess we'll have to wait until the next makeshift armistice, if there is one... or just give up altogether.

Anyway, no one is saying that America HAS to go. We're simply saying that, if America is interested in spreading peace and democracy throughout the world, and freeing (in this case, preventing) the people from tyranny, here's a great place to work on.

If you want to be isolationist, I completely respect that, but I just thought that spreading democracy and capitalism was the neocon way.

I thought that the piling of dead bodies at the Embassy was a nice way of blaming us for a situation of thier own making.

Is that why they fired mortar rounds into our embassy yesterday. Sure, a good many want us there now but what happens when we start searching their houses for guns during a 5am cordon and search? Or how about when we start giving people traffic tickets for not following laws or after we arrest several of the local war lords because they're are murdering, raping, drug dealing scum? It won't take long for the locals to want us gone again just like the Somolies and the Iraqis and the Afghans; once that happens ever American in the country will have a giant bulls eye on him.
