he don't know what he's getting into...

On the contrary, I think he does. He has no intention of being a serious rapper. He just want to play up the whole gay angle and sell some records to white folks who figure they can punch both their "I respect blacks" and "I respect gays" ticket with one purchase. Never underestimate the economic opportunities available in today's diversity obsessed society.

          Drake:

sell some records to white folks who figure they can punch both their "I respect blacks" and "I respect gays" ticket with one purchase.
damn white people are crazy but yeah i do think he's just having a gimmick to get him some attention though i'm not sure where this attention is at. i never heard of him and i just asked two people and they never did either... and i didnt ask, do you know who Caushun is? i asked them if they ever heard of any gay rapper and neither did. he appears unknown in philly though very well known by ABCNEWS and gay news sources.

damn Q Cubed, you a news buff or something... thats an amazing array of sources even in different languages... but whats with the Atlanta Journal? why that paper?

            yes.

thats an amazing array of sources even in different languages...

i actually only read the korean and german ones in korean and german (when i can. sometimes i switch to english because i read faster in english). i don't know enough kanji to be literate in japanese, so i read that in english as well. i figure it's better to have news sources near where the news occurs: korean outlets will naturally be better for finding news about say, the taegu subway disaster than say, the la times.

but whats with the Atlanta Journal? why that paper?

born and raised in atlanta. hometown loyalty. and online, i don't have to deal with all the ****ty ads that the print version has.

                Internet:

CNN; PBS; MSNBC (sometimes tolerable...); Faux News (...most times not); Comedy Central (John Stewart...who else? ); Tech TV

                Print Media:
Reno-Gazette Journal (subpar); Reno News & Review (pretty small; smutty personals in the back; journalism not nearly as dull as in the RGJ)

I tend to get my news from:

                  http://news.bbc.co.uk - the BBC
http://www.nytimes.com - the New York Times
http://www.economist.com - the Economist (had a subscription for awhile too, but didn't always have time to read it)
http://www.adevarulonline.ro - Adevarul (one of Romania's main newspapers)
                  http://www.guardian.co.uk - the Guardian

I tend to get a laugh from:

                  http://www.theonion.com - The Onion
http://english.pravda.ru - Pravda... ah, no better source for a good laugh or a nice left-wing rant more radical than I would seriously write. And their "science" section has stories that would make good premises for wierd science fiction stories

                  I occassionally read:

                  http://www.welt.de - Die Welt
"The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists."

Typical. You asked, I provided. Considering he's been featured on ABC News, in the New York Times and other major news and entertainment outlets, I have demonstrated I bull**** you not. He's certainly more famous than you are, ain't he? Whether or not you and your philly friends have heard of him is irrelevant, since the proof of his notoriety is demonstrated. I said nothing as to his particular talents as a rap artist (like I could judge). But I did say, in the other thread, he was becoming famous. Considering the number of awful rap artists out there who are famous (according to my rap-loving friends), Caushun would not be unique were he to be famous sans great talent.

I did provide a link to a site which promoted plenty of other gay rap and hip-hop artists, though they aren't as well-known. They exist, and are becoming a rather thriving community, by the look of it.

At any rate, you started the thread on the premise I was bull****ting you. I have shown I was not. Your apology will be accepted whenever you offer it.
