    Hey Alb,
I gave it a listen. All in all, it was very solid, and better than 99% of the hip-hop out there, but I didn't think your delivery was quite as confident as it was on "Block...". Like I said though, it was still dope. On that one I could actually really hear the resemblence to Snoop in your voice. Which is cool, since it is great thing to have a unique or distinct voice.

i sound like snoop so that means i got a unique or distinct voice? say what?

but alright thanks for taking a listen. one thing is i dont know if i should keep doing little skits like that one on the end of herb talk. did it sound stupid or what?

but i dont know about better than 99% of rap... i think you're missing out on some real good **** coming out now... you missing out on Cormega, Joe Budden, and Freeway, the latter two who just had their debuts come out in the past three months. and there's plenty more rising rappers. see cause dmx, jay-z, nas, eminem, ja rule, etc. are all in the late 20's and early 30's and a new generation is starting to come out to replace them. don't miss out on the younger rappers.

      thanks

Nah, the skit at the end was cool, don't drop it. But yeah, I always thought Snoop had a really unique voice compared to most rappers, it is cool that yours is very distinct like his.

As far as modern rap, maybe I will pick up a source sometime, and give some of these guys a download.

you should hear the song "#1" by Joe Budden and "Bring it Back" by Cormega (though this is not a major release song so it's harder to find)... those songs both are reminisces of the older days of rap and are some good tributes from the new generation

and monkspider... you're a christian right? what you think about this?

            Ecclesiastes

What's done is what will be done & there's nothing,
New under the sun so I wonder why the young,
Run **** w/ guns 2 get hundreds in funds,
But they stay youngings in slums, banging heat,
Slanging kis 2 be cramming G's in pockets,
But that's vanities so stop it, U damning me,
On the block w/ glock clips where cops hit spots,
Where boys pitch rocks & mans rep hoods, at night,
I get shook cause if now, my life gets took,
I bet crooks, either jakes or block kids will break,
My locked **** & raid my pockets 2 take my wallet,
They'll waste it on a lot of **** like whoes & kicks,
Over which fools fought, can't trust U, U'll talk,
That ****ing fool talk, school ought 2 reach the hood,
& teach the crooks 2 preach whats good w/ speech that should,
Be reflecting Allah, see, getting knowledge,
Aint that hard, just go 2 college & get a job,
It got them stopping robbing but the problem is,
            U won't pay homage 2 the God w/ U,
Rocking wads of dollars, U forgot bout Allah's truth,
& if U want the block 2 holler your name,
& follow your fame, U won't be satisfied,
& that is why rap is dying cause your fame,
& the pay U made won't mean nothing in your grave,
I don't mean something like be a slave,
But U got 2 have the clean life be your aim,
& all nights, put God's light in your brain.
