  • Got another song... the way yall like it...

yeah i did another song along the lines of what people here have said they liked...

called "Hood, Block, & Street"... i think my delivery is too lathargic and monotone but you still can get the lyrics

    thanks

Hmm, it was working fine on my end. I don't know what to tell ya bro.

BTW, this was probably my favorite of your works so far. It reminded me of Common. You could go far with this ish, dog.

haha alright monkspider... i believe you did hear it... but nah my delivery is still wack... i dont know whats wrong with me but i can never put enough emotion into my songs. but i'm about to start working with some local rappers so hopefully i'll improve my delivery. look out for some collabs soon. i'll post them on apolyton as soon as we hit the studio.

Really? I thought your delivery was quite strong. If you listen to your delivery and compare it to some second-rate rappers like say, the Cash Money Millionares (are those guys still around?), I think yours would be stronger 99% of the time. But your style seems to be from the school of rappers like Nas and Common, which is by it's nature much more complex, so maybe it would be like comparing the Beatles to Britney, lol.

of course the cash money millionares are still around... they're just doing their own solo ****... come on, monkspider... both Baby and Lil Wayne had major releases this past year.

but yeah my style is more influenced by Nas and AZ than anybody else but people always say i sound like Snoop dogg for some reason, voice-wise. i dont see how though

Sorry Alb, I have been out of the rap scene for the last couple years. It seems like all rap has fallen off. This thread has inspired me to dust off my old copy of Illmatic though.
