      Sikander

Narrative is great. Depp had perfect voice when he did it. Apparently he spent a bunch of time with Thompson before filming (whihc only took 50 odd days)

EDIT: and Asher: I think so. Can't remember right now. Sort of well lubricaterd

Thirteen Days was way too long, but an otherwise decent flick.

Well, that's a fantastic critique of Brazil.

          **************************

As for Brazil comparing to Fear & Loathing:

I love both, but the grander scale and general awesomeness of Brazil just put it over the top. Plus DeNiro and Pryce. Golden.

Hmm, I have found most of these movies acceptable: I can;t think of any myself.

I would recommend people go see sexy beasts and beautiful creatures, not becuase they are underrated, but becuase they were just good (but did not have wide release, since they are indy brit picks)

Sexy Beast was a bit of a disappointment for me, but that's only because it got really good reviews. If I had merely stumbeled across it I would have been more excited about it.

Freeway. This is the movie that got me into Reese Witherspoon. I have fallen in love with her. . It's kind of cheesy in parts, but Reese saves this movie. I love her and want her to bear my children. Whatever you do, avoid freeway2.

Election. Another underrated Reese film. Kind of a dark ending, but I liked it.

Being John Malkovich. While I didn't like it that much, it still was a good film that doesn't get much praise.

12 Monkeys- well it has some success, but I still feel it is underrated.

Waterworld : I'm not saying that it's Kubrickesque, but it's good fun

PCU : Quite an entertaining ride, great quotable material within

Mallrats : How anybody can find this unfunny or a bad movie truely escapes me.

Willow : A great sword action flick, with some damn good parts, very entertaining and draws you into its world.

A Better Place: Learn about it here . Only found out about it through my friend who bought it at the Jay and Silent Bob store in NJ. It's an independent film, and it is one of the most provocative, thoughtful movies I have seen. I always recommend it.

And finally, The Iron Giant: Quite simply a beautiful animated movie, a beautiful work of art.

Yeah, the first one was great... while the second one failed from the beginning, since the best character died at the beginning...

Those movies I think is underrated:

Undercover Blues: It's got some really funny things all over the movie (Seing a guy with a baby in his arms, kicking the s*** out of two thiefs is very funny... the way it's done)

Bill & Teds bogus Journey/Amazing Adventure: Both those Bill & Ted movies are great, too bad nobody has ever seen them.. or that's at least what it feels like... (Too bad Keanu Reeves haven't done any good movies since those two)

Kickboxer 2 - 4: Even though I haven't seen them in english yet, they are still very good martial arts movies
This space is empty... or is it?
