Bush is in no way responsible for 9/11. He is far too dumb for that. That being said, I'm not totally sure that it wasn't Americans who were ultimately behind it.

I think he started out well on the War on Terror, and did about the best job one could ask of a president after such a horrific attack. I thought the War in Afghanistan was justified.
But then the same goodwill from allies, and the world at large, was squandered because of Iraq. IMO, this was a forced war with shady motives, and I think the lack of evidence of saddam being an imminent threat bears this out .
The biggest problem is the Administration's penchant for secrecy and concealment at all costs. Everything from cheney's energy task force, 9/11 inquiry, and post-war reconstruction seems to be conducted behind an ever-increasing veil of secrecy.

well it seems the knives are being sharpend on both sides of the atlantic. Head of the CIA says the document that Bush used to say Iraq was trying to get nuclear weapons from africa was a forgery!!!
Shame no-one tipped of Tony Blair(british PM) about this as over here the official party line is that the document was a true source
Geez guys as this rolls on it looks like we've all been played for suckers, and you can bet that the 'fall guys' will start to fall.
Maybe to world leaders it's all nothing more than a game of civ?
Opps yeah so maybe he(or his advisors) weren't such genius's?

Bush's Republican=Neo-con for all intent and purpose. be afraid.
Lefties, get some medical help NOW! Your obsession/fear of Bush is getting way too extreme. It really is not healthy.
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

I'm personally neither obsessed with, or fearful of, the Bush Administration.
I just think their obsession with secrecy makes the Nixon Administration look like the Leo Buscaglia Fan Club.

I don't think there's any realy way of knowing exaclty who orchestrated the 9/11 attacks - the evidence claimed by the US government is highly spurious to say the least. Remember, they blamed the burning of the Reichstag on the communists. However, that doesn't mean the Bush administration was behind it.
I don't know. It would be really stupid for bin Laden to say he did it if he didn't, because it got Bush after his terrorist organization instead of another one.
I don't understand about how the Bush administration would do it. 911 might help get him power, but he wouldn't do it because of the slightest chance of getting caught. There's a slight chance that he would get caught. And if he did, he would last about 10 seconds after the discovery happened before angry mobs of Americans and his own secret service killed him. It would be too risky. Plus, Bush isn't evil enough to kill thousands of Americans.

Yes, you may be correct. Some of us leftist are so anti-Bush that it clouds their mind and they start thinking everything bad is because of Bush (cough 911 cough). But hey, at least it's not like the conservatives who are so 'patriotic' that everything Bush does is good and that those who don't support the war in Iraq MUST BE OSTRACIZED.
"The first man who, having fenced off a plot of land, thought of saying, 'This is mine' and found people simple enough to believe him was the real founder of civil society. How many crimes, wars, murders, how many miseries and horrors might the human race had been spared by the one who, upon pulling up the stakes or filling in the ditch, had shouted to his fellow men: 'Beware of listening to this imposter; you are lost if you forget the fruits of the earth belong to all and that the earth belongs to no one." - Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Anyone who thinks Bush planned or supported 9-11 is a total idiot. Hands-down. They're also inconsistent. Aren't you also complaining about Americans being uber-patriotic? I don't think you can have it both ways

Personally, I haven't seen anyone "ostracized" for not supporting Bush, though they are argued against. Part of this may be because I don't watch TV though I know I wouldn't consider someone unpatriotic for not supporting the president.
You know, I think that it's actually a good thing that, once the president has decided to go to war, people support him. Once war has been declared, isn't it better to try and make sure that things go as well as possible, rather than hinder them? You almost certainly can't stop it, but hindering could cause more damage than otherwise.

Without sounding too much like a consipracy theorist (because I don't 100% believe any option, as we can't know) but it would be the administration, not Bush. And Bin Laden still could have done it if he was still on the CIAs payroll - the reason soldiers would never find him being because he's in US protective custody.
