This movie looks like fun. It's shaping up to be a great Summer for movies (in my opinion). the Hulk, X-Men 2, Matrix Reloaded, and 28 Days Later, I liked them all.

        Mono:

what about legally blonde 2? Finding Nemo? Charlie's Angels 2?

nah for real, what about terminator 3? that one was noticibly lacking in your list

          Terminator 3 ruled.

Finding Nemo was also surprisingly good.

Finding Nemo looks like fun, and the two movies it is unfortunately sandwhiched between look like movies I'll be avoiding. Terminator 3 is looking better than I thought it would be, but it still depends on if I have enough cash to spend on it...

Other good movies so far this year -
            Spellbound
            Whale Rider
            The Shape of Things

If you REALLY want to check out a different culture, Albert, check out Whale Rider. Really interesting movie. Very spiritual, too.

i usually wait for the movie to come out on DVD, rent it for a buck at the video store (all rentals 99 cents! they're trying to bankrupt their local competition once and for all apparently)

but i'm actually planning to go out and waste a jefferson (or is it benjamin? lincoln? damnit, i never was good at who was the guy on the bill) to see pirates, probably.

if any of you sees jhonny english tell me if it's good enough to blow 20 bucks on (movie, popcorn, soda, and afterwards gaming binge in the arcade at the theatre.)

A movie is 7 dollars, dude. The gaming and stuff is optional. Nothing really beats the movie going experience - home theatre is just a pale shadow in comparison.

seven dollars? wtf? are you typing that from the pearly gates or something?

the closest movie theatre i know of gouges me out of the ****ing eyes every time i come. *sigh*

besides, 99 cents rental is worth the wait isn't it? could spend that 6 bucks on something must more useful.

Johnny Depp is the one man who regularly makes my heart throb along with other bits of my anatomy.

28 Days Later was okay. It was ambitious in scope but the action picked up pace very quickly and the whole thing ends too quickly for my tastes. Plus there are scenes in the middle that really disturbed me.

Finding Nemo was Pixar at its most Disney and saccharine. I didn't like it but then again there were tons of ankle biting little brats laughing at butt jokes so that might have influenced me.

                      XMen 2 was crap.

And here endeth the litany of this summer's movies that I've seen.

$7 for a movie?! Here it's $10, and even in the Maryland town I grew up in, the tickets are up to $9.

And yes, Johnny Depp makes me throb as well. Mmmmmmnnnhhhhgggghhhhhh...*drool*

Pirates was a great movie. Again, not Oscar Award movies, but really really fun movie to watch, lots of laughs. I agree Depp was excellent in the movie...

My roommate saw Legally Blonde 2, and she said it was so awful it was unbelievable. She had liked the first one, but the second was "like a bad SNL skit, one of those where they don't know how to end it and just go on and on for too long."

Sounds like my version of movie hell!

Of the summer movies I've only seen Bruce Almighty so far...

For T3 and Pirates I have to wait a few more weeks...

But I love Johhny Depp (although that doesn't involve quite as many body parts for me ), so I'm surely going to watch it.

Someone mention how hot the chick in 'Pirates' is, or I will be forced not to see it because of this Boris drools all over J. Depp thread...
