Not to such an extend - remember Netscape?
The main point is: pot, kettle, black. Or in this case, the thing that calls the other thing black is in fact much blacker. Apple is only slightly grey in comparison to MS.

i can safely say that no mac has ever done that to me either. and the only windows to ever give me grief was winme, which i chalk up to it being the dumbass of the family.
linux is the only one that's cost me data, and that's because i was stupid and dead tired, and typed:
people still use netscape/mozilla. people still use aim, winamp, roxio, and other programs.
apple once had some media programs. i vaguely remember something like macamp. it's gone now. people are using ichat in droves... meaning that aim is struggling to be used, and other third party chat programs have vanished. safari is dominating, eliminating ie and any other third-party browser in its path.
the only thing apple hasn't taken to is incorporating burning software into its os, afaik.

Yeah, that's why a lot of people add checks against rm in their shell profiles.

with windows, you at least have a fighting chance. maybe not much of one, but it's not a guaranteed kill. look at symantec and it's disk software... or roxio and nero and their cd software...
Symantec is Paul Allen's, who happens to own a share of Microsoft as well in addition to being Bill's buddy.
IIRC, WMP can burn CD as well, just not as good. You have to remember too, CD-R burners come with either Nero or EZ CD Creator nowadays.

However, Netscape had ceased to be a viable commercial entity for quite some time now.

Am I the only one who found this statement ironic when it came from a MS fanboy?
* Meanwhile, MSFT destroys more third party developers by includingintegrating more "features" into Windows.
Yeah, everyone knows how much of a problem third party support is on the Windows platform.
Once again, an intellectually stunning argument from the master.

Netscape? You mean the company that is still around? The same company that still makes their products for Windows?
What an amazing way to back up your argument!

As for Cloud9's post, I didn't think it was possible but his posts become more senseless every time.
People don't want to configure their computers?
God forbid you give them options to configure! If they didn't want to configure it, they wouldn't have to! Configuration options exist for people who want to only. Man, I'm a genius...

Maybe we should send out a search party for a possible Mac user who can make coherent arguments.
Surely we're bound to find someone, just by luck.

Of course, as are people who are mentally defficient and incestuous.
But I don't see what that has to do with Apple pissing people off.

Jesus, Dave, you're the most pathetic individual I've ever seen. It's like you get off on putting people down for which computer they use. "Tool" doesn't even begin to describe someone like you.
