If I were a god, I wouldn't want anybody to worship me. So I wouldn't worship any god, either.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

I went to church as a kid. I didn't learn a damn thing. I even took saturday classes- which I think were bible study classes or something. mostly we did stupid kid stuff. I hated being treated as a kid when I was a kid
I am a sorry excuse for a catholic.
That's why I don't consider myself a catholic. In fact, I don't even consider myself christian anymore.
I'm not sure what I am.
who am I?

Why would God care whether we worship him or not? Is he just some big cosmic vending machine passing out rewards to those who spend enough time on their knees?
For all it being a sucky movie, Star Trek V said it best: "Why would God need a spaceship?" Substitute burnt offerings, prayer, temples, religion and worship for spaceship, and you have a pretty profound question.

depends...would such a god want to be worshipped?
what would the god'a actions have been in the past?
There's still too much "what ifs" in this situation."You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier
