        Re: Who are you anway?

I shouldn't have to tell you my real name. I'm 19 years old and the eldest of four children; I have two sisters (18 and 13) and a brother (15). My dad (47) is a consultant engineer, and my mum (44) is an office manager, whatever that means. Since my mum is Dutch, the family has slightly more colour to it than the usual mono-cultural familes that you tend to get around my part of the country; infact, about 3/4 of my family are Dutch and live on the continent, in Holland, Belgium and France mostly.

I live in a small village in the UK, although my of my year is spent studying at university in Hull (yes, that town one that our good friend Mr. harrison lives in), which is about 25 miles down the road. I live at university most of the year, although I'm back for the summer at the moment, having just finished the first year of a Politics degree.

Religion has never really entered into the Hanson family a great deal. My paternal grandmother is a practising Anglican and attends church regularly, but aside from her no-one else in the family does. My mum is from a Catholic family, which explains the absolute abundance of relatives on her side of the family (she has at least 11 aunts and uncles, and somewhere in the region of 30 cousins).

Physically, I'm 6 feet tall and weigh somewhere in the region of 11.5 stone, although I haven't weighed myself recently so this is probably wrong.

I spend my spare time desperately trying to find a summer job of some description, a task at which I am failing with remarkable ease (and this is not for want of trying), sitting at my computer or out with my mates. I doubt that this situation will change in the near future.

11.5 stoners? Do you have a conversion ratio between that and pounds or kilograms by any chance? Thanks.

            Eh. Might as well.

Politically indifferent, with equal disdain for democrats and republicans. Democracy is IMO the best possible evil. I came to that conclusion after channel-surfing one day, seeing Jerry Springer, and realizing that all those people-the creeps in the audience, the freaks onstage, Mr. Final Thought himself-have the right to vote in a democracy. Them, the people behind "reality TV," and the bajillion or so gaptoothers on WWE all have the right and privilege to affect my destiny in some way. That's not right, dammit.
Pro-life; that's my only other strong opinion.

If someone could tell me how many pounds are in a stone, then I could probably work it out for you.

Seems I forgot some things that other people have included about themselves.

I said I was raised in a rural, predominantly Catholic town of only 300 people. To scare you even more, the town's name is Holy Cross -- no joke there. This is in eastern Iowa, west of Dubuque. Dubuque is on the Mississippi River, near the tri-state border of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

But, four years ago, I moved one hour south, to Davenport Iowa, which is part of the larger area called the Quad Cities. Davenport and Bettendorf on the Iowa side of THE river, and Rock Island and Moline on the other side. There's also East Moline.

As for my height and weight -- 5'7", and 140 pounds.

well, it might not be that, but what you described (regarding the weight) sounded very similar to what happened to me.

ask your doctor about it when you go and see him.

I once had an older brother named Sean, and he used to call me his little guy because I was always shorter than him.

For contrast, I am 5'5", and he is 6' or so. I hated that I always had to run next to him to keep up. He had asthma and really severe allergies, so he never got far before I could catch up.

Lucky for us, Dad was always pretty healthy and thin, so we've always been slim, but we still have to work at keeping trim.

I don't know where Mom is. I heard she was doing ok, though. So that's ok, right?

Dad was from Cambridge, and Mom was from Belfast. That's all I was ever told, and that's what I used to believe. So why do I look Chinese? Is it Mongoloid idiocy, or is that third chromosome just making me look that way? Perhaps it's all this blasted melanin.

I used to dread February 13th (trisKAIdecadiaphobia?)
Now I look at it as St. Valentine's Eve.

I also had a little sister whom we called Winnie, but she was taken away when she was 2 and I never got to see her anymore. The only thing I remember is the way she smells. That's probably the only way I could recognise her. The last place I ever saw her was at Westwood. Her birthday was also on February 13th, but we always celebrated it on Ground Hog's Day.

I remember, just before they took my youngest brother, Josh away, he once gave a really great speech, campaigning for ASB president. All at once, he turned bright red, and stopped talking. He never spoke to me again, except in dreams. I still miss him, even though I barely remember him.

I had a twin brother, Brian Olson. He HATED me when we were young, because I used to curse all the time, for no apparent reason. Neither of us knew that I had Tourette's Syndrome, and we used to disagree about colours all the time because I never knew he was red-green colour blind. He stopped talking to me when we were about 8. I haven't heard from him since, but I think I might've seen him around. He is still the only person I ever believed really understood me.

One day, we were in schoolroom and I was thinking of this song I hated, and I was trying really hard not to think about it. Brian turned to me and said, "I hate that song too."

That's why I miss him so much - I don't think he can hear me anymore.

I always thought that maybe those guys reincarnated as better people and are still trying to get me to listen.

Ben Stiller kind of reminds me of Josh.
Brad Pitt reminds me of Brian.
German sheperds always remind me of Winnie.

-I'm nobody. Who are U? RU nobody too?

                                The answer is always No.
