This is not suprirsing. Parisians aren't popular in the other regions of France. They have the reputation of being arrogant, know-it-all, and to feel "like in conquered territory" when in other parts of France (i.e ignorant and not willing to learn about the local uses). I couldn't bother to read this entire thread (I'll do it eventually) but I notice that people are getting so close to each other here that they are even sharing personal details about their lives. Where is that glorious anonymity that marked the first days of this forum? Where is that "hey, you don't need to know anything about me except that I like civ games" spirit? Alex: why the anonymity? When one begins to debate/discuss such issues that we do here it seems only natural that one would begin to understand the other people to a point that such obscurity vanishes... Besides, arguing issues backed up by facts is so blase
