I never cared much for the going back and forth into the past and into the future crap that every damn Star Trek series always has to have.

No doubt
Lots of material to work with but instead we have to endure watching the crew stripping down to their drawas in the isolation room.We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. - Abraham Lincoln

I know it's said, but I think TOS is the best of all of them. Yes, the special effects are ludicrous, Shatner is a horrible overactor, and some of the lines were damnably corny, but it had real innovation. It was the kind of series where anything could happen. Had some sort of social relevance too. The more modern series are all a load of crap about malfunctioning jeffries tubes and wormholes. If I wanted a lesson in quantum physics I'd pick up a Feynman book, dammit. Only TNG was really watchable, and that was because Patrick Stewart carried the whole thing. DS9 got old fast and Voyager was no better. I've only seen one or two episodes of Enterprise so I can't make any real statement. Except to affirm that, yes, the Vulcan chick is hot, and yes, that theme song sucks. What little I saw seemed to have some vague amount of creativity too(I only saw the first two or three episodes).
And Wrath of Khan was a helluva lot better than the modern movies.

THG -Ok, gets better
Voyager- tripe
DS9- Ok, gets better
Enterprise- guff
I predict a pattern.
Plus, Enterprise is pretty good.

i hate enterprise.
throwing in the "suliban"; the enterprise looking like the akira class; the bridge looking more modern than even voyager's; the vulcans being evil; adding in the ferengi; cheapness of the decontam scene...
enterprise lost me a while back.
voyager had some good episodes, but on the whole it was a poor showing. i didn't like how in seasons 3-7, over three quarters of the episodes seemed to focus on barbie.B♭3

I like all of them.Last edited by Joseph; July 6, 2003, 01:30.
