  • Berlusconi is a Fun Guy

And this is going to be a fun 6 months!

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

He really is a moron, isn't he? I don't know what exactly, but he must have pulled some serious **** in order to get elected.
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

Eyewerks - you know you want to visit. No really, you do. Go on, click me.

I think you undervalue good theatrics, Sloth.

Isn't that sign rather rude in some countries? it was similar to the raised middle finger in my school among some language sections.

As for how he got elected... He has a certain charisma and a larger aura of power than the usual post war Italian prime ministers. That, and he controls a lot of the media...

He may have a loose tongue, but he's not too much of a moron, strictly speaking...you have to give the weasel some credit for arranging his virtual immunity from prosecution in Italy while he's holding office.
