berlusconi may shoot from the hip, but he also boycotted Arafat when he visited the Mid east, thus supporting the change in Pal leadership, something no other figure from the EU has had the cojones to do. Including Joska Fisher.

Are Germans outraged that their govt is not boycotting Arafat, despite his having done everything he could to block and weaken the new Pal PM, Mohammed Abbas??? If they are not so outraged, is it really logical for them to be outraged when Berlusconi says a German MEP could play a Kapo in a movie????

Pekka: You're taking this way too seriously. The German left deserves all the contempt available, as was clear when they tried to interrupt his speech earlier. It's just political theater on both sides.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. lord of the mark, I have said it all before... it's all about him governing in rather undemocratic ways.

DanS, Ok I only saw Silvios speech. It doesn't matter what had happened, it was definitely out of order

It may be a very nice name, but in English, it looks and sounds like pecker, which is a colloquial term for a male member

Surprise surprise, AH has mentioned this only about 100 times before. No, in english it does not sound even close to that, you just can't pronounce it. But don't worry, I'm not offended .

Maybe that's some kind of omen though.. I've been blessed with a massive beast so.. I don't know. Maybe this was meant to be.

No human with normally formed larynx can pronounce Finnish. It is the second language of the beast, after Dutch

It's pronounced like the hockey player Peca. Well not quite, but that's how you're supposed to pronounce it if you're english speaker.

And enlighten me, how is the hockey player Peca supposed to be pronounced? Phonetic alphabet perhaps?
