the house I live in is a 1900 built with a central position. last fixed in the 60s, which means somewhat uncomfortable conditions but also low cost. my parents' house was built in 1920.

In Edinburgh, the big houses in the centre have been divided up into flats, so one family usually has a floor each (of about 100-130m^2). They are still very nice (I have been looking at quite a few in my search for a place to live) but typically go for $400,000 or so.
