      Have you read the Old Testament? It helps a lot the second time through this brilliant movie...


      yeah, i've read it. i see where there are supposed to be some parallels/allusions. even so, it was a movie i found myself disappointed with and not enjoying. honestly, some parts of it seemed as if the director was trying too hard to make a statement, and i don't like it when movies feel that pressuring, whether they truly are or not. that also happens to be why i dislike david lynch. so, take from it what you will. magnolia's not for everyone.

          amorres perros is also good. so is y tu mama tambien.

          rules of the game (i forget the french title) is also good.

          if you can get it (which i doubt), try and look for my sassy girl. it'd damn hilarious.
