    Odin:

I looked it up... dont got an exact quote but the Baron d'Holbach, referring to persecutions of "heretics" and "witches" based on belief (whereas non-belief would not have caused these inquisitions) said something along the lines of only a society of athiests has any hope of being moral.
"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi

We have a stupid republican in St. Paul now cutting the Education budget because he doesn't want to raise taxes.

I presume he told George and Laura to jump in the sack as well.

This sounds like a very extreme thing to say, especially for the most important political figure of the US (and the world)

Extreme? Man, you haven't been following US politics for the last, oh, 230 years or so.

Bill Clinton invoked God at least as much as Bush does.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Which is amusing because Ventura is pretty weak minded himself .
The quote refers not to religion in general, but organized religion. There's nothing wrong with having religious beliefs, but, yes, organized religion is oftentimes full of ****.

                            1. You can't tell how many atheists are in the US. Last I read, some 80% claimed to be Christians, but how many of them are Christians by choice?

                            2. The leader of the country should be atheist because there is less of a chance of violating the separation of the state and religion.

what's funny, is all the liberals who believe he said this.

you can't see how blind you are because of your ideology.

Bush isn't some religious nut. I dont recall his father being that way. He only pretends to be to get the conservative vote.

did you ever think of restructuring the education program to make it more efficient

**** education. There I said it. My state's democracts are using extortion and scare tactics threatening to close the schools if the republicans don't raise taxes by nearly 1 billion dollars

**** the democrats, and **** the republicans. **** the entire goverement for that matter.

You don't give an innefficient organization more money to fix what's wrong.
