Treason. A breach of allegiance to one's government, usually committed through levying war against such government or by giving aid or comfort to the enemy. The offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance; or of betraying the state into the hands of a foreign power. Treason consists of two elements: adherence to the enemy, and rendering him aid and comfort. Cramer v. U. S., U.S.N.Y., 325 U.S. l, 65 S.Ct. 918, 9327 89 L.Ed. 1441. See 18 U.S.C.A. § 2381. A person can be convicted of treason only on the testimony of two witnesses, or confession in open court. Art. III, Sec. 3, U.S. Constitution.

The sale of the satelite technology to the Chinese may have been treasonous, but we'll never know since it seems to have become a non-issue.

Yep, credit to Clinton. Closer ties with China were one of his administration's best strategic moves.

Referring to obvious posts made throughout this thread.
Are some of you folks still in high school and college? Well, trust me, when you get out and can no longer enjoy the comfy life w/ nil responsibilty (not talking about academics), you'll come to love the Ann Coulters of the world. Don't flame me, not trying to be an ass. I made the journey from liberalism to conservatism and grateful for it. Liberalism has little to do w/ helping people as it does w/ taking from others. It has to work a certain way or there will be no $ for anyone. I recommend a tad of moderation. This coming from someone who is fiscally conservative and socially liberal.Last edited by dojoboy; June 27, 2003, 11:35."What did you learn in school today, dear little boy of mine?

Yeah, I'm in college, but my life isn't cushy. Far from it. I hate the Ann Coulters of the world because instead of giving to the poor, they give to the wealthy. It's simple - I HATE CORPORATE WELFARE."mono has crazy flow and can rhyme words that shouldn't, like Eminem"

There are definitely things to combat, greed being one of them. But, I've not noticed conservatives holding a monopoly on greed.Originally posted by monolith94

If you recommend a tad of moderation, why the hell are you defending that hellbeast Coulter? She is not moderate in the slightest, she is the posterperson for fanatical extremism in politics.
Did you not catch the part about her advocating women shouldn't be allowed to vote?Tutto nel mondo è burla

No, I just ordered her book. But, I'd gather her point is that emotional issues w/ absence of rational thought = bad policies . Using generalizations to make a point, I'd guess.Originally posted by Boris Godunov

Was it Laz who made a comment about teeth in her vagina or something like that?
She first registered on my radar when the Guardian published a feature on her in which she said that giving the vote to women was on of the USA's greatest mistakes, because women are statistically more likely to vote Democrat.
Had I been present when she said that, I might have asked her if she'd taken a look in her knickers recently. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland
