Emperor Palpatine was stareing out the window of his Tower on the Deathstar, Skywalker's Body lying at the bottem of the stars. It had been several days since the Rebel Rout at Endor, and it still hadn't been removed.

"My Liege, Grand Admiral Thrawn has reported from the Unknown Regions. A Wormhole leading to the otherside of the known universe has been discovered. Intial probes indicate....there are HUmans on the otherside."

"Truly?"

Vader nodded his head "Yes my Liege."

Palpatine's mouth curled into a smile. "Join Thrawn's Taskforce, find out what he needs. Humanity should be under one banner, after all..."

The Feds could beat the Borg, so they aren't too special.

Besides, if it came to being sandwiched between the Empire or the Borg, I'm willing to bet the Feddies will gladly hop into bed with the Empire against the Borg. Being conquered beat being assimilated any day.

Boris, I didn't say the Federation wins with Q's help, I said Q wins. He's always playing for himself, and I'm sure he would use such a drastic change in situation to benefit himself.

But the Borg were far more powerful than than the Feds. IIRC, they hardly sent any forces to Earth, and the Feds merely stopped the Borg taking Earth, they hardly destroyed their fleet. Besides, saying that is like saying "the resistance defeated the Empire, so the Empire are hardly anything". What have the Empire got that is remotly as powerful as the Borg, or species 8472 (IIRC) who the Borg were losing the war too, when Voyager tried to travel through Borg space.

Ah, but the Borg have their own problems, particularly with species 8472. That, and hadn't the Feddie-engineered bio weapon virtually wiped the Borg out?
