depends. Some are not comfortable wit it dont find it necessarily for "artistic" purpose, fine.

But some that take it all off cause they think it will promote the movie in a tasteful artistic way, fine

Some that take it all off for eye-catching softcore porn purposes, thats fine too
    :-p

I've always thought about doing twins. Hell, I'd even do conjoined twins if they were hot.
What about those two girls who are conjoined in such a way that they appear to be one girl with two heads? I mean, they are 12 or something currently, I think, but they'll grow up.

Either way I respect 'em - it's the ones who do too many nude scenes that get to me (in a bad way). Think Alyssa Milano. I do and I instantly think "sl*t".

Sorry Alyssa - I did see Embrace of the Vampire.

I respect good actresses. As was stated, the leevl of clothing hey are wearing is immateril to their acting abilities. If someone is naked playing a nun, that is bad acting (and directing and writing), but if somoene is naked as a prostitute different matter.

The thing is though, there's no scene that cannot be written in a way to not use nudity without altering the "point."

I'm sure there are exceptions to that UR, but I can't think of any right now

And yes I concur, Natalie Portman needs to do a nude scene. She needs to talk to Halley Berry about that.

Has anyone seen Monster's Ball btw?

Yes there are: what about a scene between the interactions between a husband and a wife who were in the middle of copulation? or a scene in a shower between two people who had been planning to copulate?

People are sometimes naked. Just becuase of that, you will see naked people on screen.

Yeah I have way more respect for actresses that won't do nude scenes.

Nudity never really adds much to the story anyway.

I don't care. At all. It's not the classification of the content, it's the content and it's the play of the content.

That's not true. Aside from the obvious erotic 'points', you can have other cases... rape, humility in a prison environment, casualness or being care-free (probably not describing this feeling well), ect...

While I suppose you could do all that without any nudity... it just wouldn't be the same.
