Wernazuma. There are democratic ways to influence politics. Use them, instead of complaining.

I'm probably becoming a green voter, too, with the democratic socialists declining

So basically Berlusconi admits he was guilty? I mean why else would he be so desperate for a protection of charges?

And what exactly tells you that I don't use "democratic ways to influence politics"?

kassiopeia: Berlusconi does not admit anything. He's a victim of a "jurisdiction gone wild", just like he had to streamline the RAI because there was this huge conspiracy against him by that left media
"The world is too small in Vorarlberg". Austrian ex-vice-chancellor Hubert Gorbach in a letter to Alistar [sic] Darling, looking for a job...
"Let me break this down for you, fresh from algebra II. A 95% chance to win 5 times means a (95*5) chance to win = 475% chance to win." Wiglaf, Court jester or hayseed, you judge.

He might not be openly admitting anything, but not allowing the court system complete its due process stinks like dodging guilt to me.

Complaining is one of the most important aspects of democractically influencing politics.

As for why the EU doesn't crack down on Berlusconi for his shameless corruption, the answer is obvious: They don't want to set a precedent whereby their own corruption will be a target.

Complaining is never a way to change thing. He could found and/or enter several Vereine and Verbände and thus affect the way things work

I agree with Wernezuma here. I think the way EU reacted to Haider was a shame (and the protestors against him in Wienna streets I hold even more pathetic..)

If you want to see what Berlusconi is all about, read Alan Ford. That is all I have to say on the matter.

But Berlusconi is using the democratic System to gain Immunity from justice, so what can you do?

There is one thing which wonders me more than Silvio Berlusconi abusing the System for his own Proft.
It is, that the Italians voted for Berlusconis Forza Italia. They should have known what they had to expect if Berlusconi is voted President (at least outside of Italy most people spspected what would come after Berlusconi would be elected and most people outside of Italy were very surprised, that he was really elected (after he lost his first election, where he was candidate)).

But maybe it only proves one thing which also Josef Goebbels knew:
The Importance to have full Control of the Public Media.
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"
