Uhm, out of the list*, the easy winner is Thomas Edison. But the greatest American, the one who impacted the way we live our lives more than any other single man (other than perhaps Edison) is Henry Ford... whom, shockingly, didn't even make the list.

God Damn Euros are taking a dump in this poll as well. How else can one explain Bill Clinton getting more votes than Jefferson, Lincoln and both of the Roosevelts. He is only behind MLK jr., Franklin, Washington (thanks to my vote!). The man is scum, and his administration will be known as "the wasted years".He's got the Midas touch.
