Over the course of time I've had Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Bantams (including a truly psychopathic Rhode Island Red cockerel who would attack anything thast moved), many dogs, goldfish, Koi, loaches, assorted tropical fish, a hamster, a jird, a gerbil, many rats and an Exmoor pony (an evil-natured sod who provided the true definition of "stubborn").

    Now I've got a toddler.

I have a ten years old Russian spaniel called Timerlan. He is very agressive and very smart.

We have a 10 year old toy poodle called Benjy. Yes, it is a very camp breed of dog, but he is lovely and very clever...

              It seems mean.

I have a 7 year old male Pomeranian dog named Baby. He barks at everybody who comes into or leaves the house.

I also have a 4 year old silver tabby cat named Princess. I swear she looks like a Maine Coon or a Noewegian Forest Cat though, and she acts like a Maine Coon too because she loves to go outside, can sleep anywhere, and has a very soft meow.

Finally, I have an fresh-water aquarium with several fish, inluding two big, 3 year old goldfish, one of which has almost turned pure white.

I have a fat black cat with no name who bites me on a daily basis... usually by coming silently under my chair while I'm typing and then biting my ankles, or by biting my elbow while I'm asleep. He's quite demanding. He also shouts a lot for no reason and pees on the bathroom rug. He's a real devil. He needs to go on a diet too, but if he gets hungry... I get more scars...

I could tolerate a cat, but that's too much work for little use.

If that is your attitude, don't take one. A situation like that is neither good for you or for the cat.

                            Two young male cats

One I found and the second one was bought soon after (cats shouldn't be alone)
