    Canada.

    Apolyton works, too.

Generally anywhere where you've got educated people, rather than the IQ-of-60 slums where you live, homey.

Never said it was a good representation, just telling you that your slums aren't the world.

Most people who vote don't live in your conditions, so the opinion of the people around you are even less important.

                    thanks
From someone who doesn't live in New York, that's funny. Even areas outside Manhattan are strongly supportive of gay rights. Keep in mind Manhattan is not the most populous bourough...Queens has almost double its population.

There are bad areas like the above, but the aren't remotely the norm. I also might be attacked in those areas for being white or wearing nice shoes. Great places, huh?

New Yorkers are overwhelmingly pro-gay rights, there's no getting around it.

This thread wasn't mean to be about gay rights, anyway, it's about the pervert Phelps and his twisted, psychopathic followers. If you think what he did was okay, then I will use such labels for you in the future as well, thanks.

Albert, I'd like to extend an invitation to you to come to Ann Arbor for a while. I think you might learn a few things.

                        Are you serious?!

Boy oh boy, you have utterly no sense of reality, do you?

Oh great. Such prime examples of progressive policies and high standards of living.

The Taliban hated gays, too. Like being associated with them? Is that the company you like keeping?

Now stop, this thread isn't supposed to be about gay rights.

Why are those areas bad? Because people there don't fit into your upper class, white liberal model of the world?

How about because people shoot each other every so often?

You were the one who wanted to bring up the attitudes of people in some areas--I just wanted to point out that those people you refer to have other attitudes that are repugnant as well. It has nothing to do with race, despite your one-trick ponyism. Black people can love their gay friends and neighbors, too.
