If it is amateurs how did TaTu enter? I am sure the UK would've gotten more points if they'd dropped someone like Robbie Williams in.

Of course the contest is technically not for amateurs, but it seems strange somehow, since many countries don´t send their most successful singers/bands. AFAIK when ABBA participated they were totally unknown (their carreer started just after winning the contest).BlahComment

Btw most countries don't sing in their own language, so what's the problem in a made up language.. That folk song is about how it sounds, not about content (I mean the other sings with real lyrics don't have any noteworthy content anyway)
Besides our song had some elements that belong to our country (celtic influences etc..

I thought that the Irish entry should have done better, since it sounded like the type of song that usually does well at Eurovision.
Tatu deserve credit for embarassing themselves even more than the average eurovision entrant usually does. That off-key screeching they tried to pass of as singing would have been the worst song in the contest in a normal year.If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.Comment
