Hmm, the part of her game one would suspect would be an issue (driving and long iron shots) wasn't, and the part that could have been a strength (putting) wasn't.

That amuses me. I hope she putts better tomorrow.

Do you fancy a gentlemens bet that she doesn't make the cut? Loser gets a weeks self inposed ban?

Uhhh... no... Just because I want her to do well and piss off all the pigs, doesn't mean I'm willing to bet that she will make the cut

At this stage it will be tough. She played "solid" today... but her putting was as can be expected. Maybe on Friday she will be over the nervousness and start putting a tad more aggressively. She missed way too many "easy" putts today... didn't sink any long ones, and left far too many short of the hole.

IMHO her problem is that her driving will put pressure on her putting. Time will tell........?

So far, the pigs are content.

Actually, I really hope she wins, definately hope she loses, and happily expect a middle of the road showing.

Not from the looks of things today... and not based on what she has done in the past at other tournaments.

Her problem today was NOT tee to green. All this talk about how she wouldn't be able to get it close to the pin just didn't apply today. But even when she left herself makeable putts... she couldn't put them down.

Which is pretty much what I expected based on history.

But as bad as a putter as she is, and average day on the greens for her would have meant fewer putts. She was tight on the greens today, and it showed.

Well... Annika is ready to tee off for round two.

The projected cut right now is +1, which is where Annika currently is. However, they are saying it very well could easily change to even par or maybe -1...

Annika needs to be thinking about under par today, and better improve on her putting.

A little nervous on the first hole. She laid up on the Par 5 with her second shot. And then hit into the trap (her first sand trap of the tournament)

She got the sand save and remains at +1
The leader is currently at - 8

I'd be surprised if she finished par whatever the results of the other players are

Well... she birdied the second hole to get back to even par for the tournament.

It was a 10 foot putt. Let's see if this wakes her up

I agree. She'll improve on this round.

BTW, I saw a WSJ article today about how some of the executives of the Bank sponsoring the Colonial are members at Augusta
