Because having a woman play PGA golf ruins the very symbolism of golf. You know, clubs and balls and holes, symbolism! Women shouldn't be advancing on holes, putting it in and handling their balls. That's why guys like Vijay have protested it so strongly, it's all about symbolism! Other facors, like she stealing others' valuable TV time and the shame of losing to a woman are nothing compared to the damage a woman can do to the symbolism of golf!

Through 10... missed ANOTHER birdie putt... still one under, and she is starting to get really pissed that she can't make the putts. Still 2 back.

Putting was never her strong suit.

No... as I have stated in other threads, her putting is the strong part of her game.

Two more holes, two more missed birdies... still one under and 3 back. Tied for 17th.

And she is REALLY starting to look pissed with every missed put. Most of them have been short of the hole.

One more hole... one more birdie putt short...

She then missed her first fairway, but has a great lie and look at the green.

Considering all the critics thought the problem would be tee to green due to the length of the course, it's funny that the reverse has happened.

Thanks for the updates ming-- Par sounds decent but how has this course played in the past? Are there not courses where par falls far short of the cut?

More generally I see no problem with her being in this tournament but I hope that sponsors/organizers for a whole bunch of tournaments don't offer her exemption after exemption such that she effectively becomes a "regular'. IMHO, if she wants to do that, she should go through Q school or whatever other standard methods players use to get on the tour.

So far, it does seem like she is handling the distances. In fairness to the critics, however, it was pretty logical to assume that a woman would likely have difficulty hitting as far as the men.

Question here-- Lets assume she does well enough to be around the cut--- Lets assume she choses to play regularly on the men's tour. Then assume that she makes the tour and can regularly finish in the middle of the pack, making some cuts and missing others but never cracking the top 20 in any event. What kind of income would those types of results garner? She might not care if her endorsement income skyrockets but I'm assuming that it would be quite a drop from her current LPGA winnings.

Also, this stunt has garnered a lot of attentionbut do you think the attention would continue if she played more regularly on the tour with middling results?
