    things fall apart

    (like
    my
    favorite
    mug,
    which
    presently
    fell
    and
    became)

    glass on the dance floor

    (which
    you
    shouldn't
    step
    on,
    lest
    you
    get
    nasty
    cuts
    on
    your
    foot.)

        How about.

All of of Wagners works leave one haggard
It's tiresome to hear that lame blackguard
        His music's too loud

Edited to remove my personal attack.
But I still rhyme better than the pretentious hack.

i miss the sand on the concrete floors
i miss the way it was before
                    no one even knew me
your eyes looked right through me
and i'm taking off your clothes
and you bloom like a rose
i can't get away from you

and where the ocean meets the land
is like the sliding of your hand
                    it prickles up my skin
and i can feel the changing weather
                    ride alone along that coast
                    sense memories of your ghost
i can't get away from you

                    deliver me
one thing occurred to me and one thing that trips me up and
                    shut me up
one thing that trips me up, one thing won't give it up
                    deliver me
one thing occurred to me, one thing trips me up and, one thing reminded me and i go walk alone and
                    release
one thing you won't release and one thing won't give me peace
                    deliver me
and one thing will never go and know when i can go home and
                    deliver me

                    through the airport corridors
                    in the magazines in stores
if i see your face once more
cos you know i can't ignore it
                    i recognize that pose
when you bloomed like a rose
i can't get away from you

the jeep gets broke on a blown out road
and i'm a tourist with a real light load
will the government hold one month away
missed our places where we always stay
how come we always pick these spots
feeling like a have and the land of have-nots
sleeping on cots, wishin' that I had some tater tots

and there's postcards written i know i'll never send
the moment is gone and won't come again
i ride with souls who find no peace
still I look to you to find release
                    find release, find release

                    and the travelers return
                    through the panic doors
                    walking through the airport corridors
welcome back now from the foreign shores
                    and i walk alone
and the ghost that I carry is yours
                    tiger shark is azure blue
i hope the vision you had returns to you

I think I'm the first CS student in history
                        To write something remotely poetic
                        The reason is no mystery
                        'tis because we're all pathetic

Summer time and the wind is blowing,
                          Outside in lower Chelsea.
And I don't know what I'm doing in this city
The sun is always in my eyes.
                          It crashes through the windows,
And I'm sleeping on the couch,
When I came to visit you.
                          That's when I knew.
                          I could never have you
I knew that before you did.

                          Still I'm feeling stupid,
                          And there's this burning,
                          Like there's always been,
                          I've never been so alone,
And I've never been so alive.

Visions of you on a motorcycle drive by,
Cigarette ash flies in your eyes,
                          And you don't mind,
                          And you smile,
And say the world doesn't fit with you.

                          I don't believe you,
You're so serene. Careening through the universe,
                          Your axis on a tilt,
                          Guiltless and free,
I hope you take a piece of me with you,

And there's things I'd like to do that,
                          You don't believe in,
I would like to build something,
You know it's never going to happen,

                          And there's this burning.
Like there's always been I've never been so alone.
And I've never been so alive,
                          Where's the soul.
                          I want to know,
                          New York City is evil.
                          The surface is everything,
but I could never do that,
                          Someone would see through that.
And this will be the last time,
                          We'll be friends again.
I'll get over you and you'll wonder,
                          Who I am.

                          And there's this burning,
                          Like there's always been,
                          I've never been so alone,
And I've never been so alive,

I go home to the coast.
                          It starts to rain,
                          I paddle out,
                          On the water

                          Alone

Taste the salt and taste the pain.
I'm not thinking of you again,

                          Summer dies and swells rise,
The sun goes down in my eyes,

                          See this rolling wave,
                          Darkly coming to take me,
                          Home,

And I never been so alone,
And I've never been so alive.

                            Better:

                            I
Midwinter spring is its own season
                            Sempiternal though sodden towards sundown,
Suspended in time, between pole and tropic.
Whem the short day is brightest, with frost and fire,
The brief sun flames the ice, on pond and ditches,
In windless cold that is the heart's heat,
                            Reflecting in a watery mirror
A glare that is blindness in the early afternoon.
And glow more intense than blaze of branch, or brazier,
Stirs the dumb spirit: no wind, but pentecostal fire
In the dark time of the year. Between melting and freezing
The soul's sap quivers. There is no earth smell
Or smell of living thing. This is the spring time
But not in time's covenant. Now the hedgerow
Is blanched for an hour with transitory blossom
Of snow, a bloom more sudden
Than that of summer, neither budding nor fading,
Not in the scheme of generation.
Where is the summer, the unimaginable
                            Zero summer?

Tomorrow's mundane and all good things must end
The cops told the crowd they must disperse
Your pretty eyes fall as the tear gas burst
here come the horses and we move along
promise i'll see you but the moment is gone

                              (danger)

you're shocked when the spray can splatters
Deliver us from the chumps and suckers
You and me killing time in the present tense
Bound together for someone to fight against

Well you lost the taste for danger
                              And now it's gone (Danger)
Just take a look in your eyes
I know that something's wrong (what's going on)
You lost your taste for danger
I used to be a dissident citizen

you got a taste for danger
                              So bring it on (Danger)
You love the taste of danger
You love the taste of danger

And now it's gone (Danger, what's going on)
You've got a taste for danger

                                Modern poetry
We've all seen the man at the liquor store beggin' for your change
The hair on his face is dirty, dread-locked, and full of mange
He asks a man for what he could spare, with shame in his eyes
"Get a job you ****ing slob," is all he replies
God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in his shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to sing the blues

Mary got pregnant from a kid named Tom that said he was in love
He said, "Don't worry about a thing, baby doll
I'm the man you've been dreaming of."
But 3 months later he say he won't date her or return her call
And she swear, "God damn, if I find that man I'm cuttin' off his
                                balls."
And then she heads for the clinic and
she gets some static walking through the door
They call her a killer, and they call her a sinner
and they call her a whore
God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in her shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to choose

I've seen a rich man beg
I've seen a good man sin
I've seen a tough man cry
                                I've seen a loser win
                                And a sad man grin
I heard an honest man lie
I've seen the good side of bad
                                And the downside of up
                                And everything between
                                I licked the silver spoon
                                Drank from the golden cup
                                And smoked the finest green
I stroked the baddest dimes at least a couple of times
                                before I broke their heart
You know where it ends, yo, it usually depends on where you start

I knew this kid named Max
who used to get fat stacks out on the corner with drugs
He liked to hang out late
he liked to get ****-faced and keep the pace with thugs
Until late one night there was a big gun fight and Max lost his head
He pulled out his chrome .45, talked some ****, and wound up dead
Now his wife and his kids are caught in the midst of all of this pain
You know it crumbles that way
at least that's what they say when you play the game
God forbid you ever had to wake up to hear the news
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to lose
Then you really might know what it's like...to have to lose
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
