  • Hmmmm... sounds personal to me...
    Hehe, okay...

    Imran -
I get nasty when people don't listen or simply lie.
So I lied or didn't listen? Funny, the post which prompted Ming's warning came right after your "response" to my attempt to correct your mis-use of the word "parse", a post you didn't listen to except as a reason to launch a personal attack. Oh the irony...

By parsing we mean you take every phrase and respond to it seperately. You do it quite often.
Given the definition of "parse", why does that make you mad? You don't want your arguments analysed? Btw, I obviously don't do this to every phrase unless you think phrases are now sentences and paragraphs too. And I rarely chop up a sentence into "phrases" except when there are multiple arguments within a sentence.

Check the last pages of 'Why are Black People so Fast'.
You want me to look for your proof?

Any thread where you and Ramo discuss 'liberty' or somewhat are not only examples of where you parse to oblivion, but drag other people in it as well.
Ramo and I don't complain, if you have a problem, don't read our posts (do you launch a bunch of unsupported insults at Ramo too?). Btw, where's your proof that Wraith or the other libertarians here "parse"? There are many people here who copy and paste, and do so prolificly. Btw, Ramo has never accused me of "parsing"...

Of course when people have pointed out your parsing to oblivion, you don't listen.
I ask them to support their assertion that I'm taking their arguments out of context, they don't. They drop it and go on to other arguments. The "out of context" complaint has turned into this "parsing" nonsense by people who don't the meaning of the word.

Such as the times when GP wondered if you were doing a self-parody in that one thread about stereotypes about posters.
I don't recall him accusing me of "parsing", his complaint is that I copy and paste. Of course, he does the same thing...

See Imran, I've just done what I often do, respond to a series of statements made in several sentences. Not one "phrase", no "parsing", just a thorough response.

    • Jeez, what a self-parody. You've just parsed through my entire response, and you don't even realize it. It's kinda easy to make my argument when you indulge me so. I'm not going to fall into the trap where I must repond to every main assertion you made when you parsed through my supporting criteria, and then three days later we have 300 line responses dealing with things totally unrelated because you wish to parse and parse and parse to oblivion (or even better, the Latin phrase reductio ad absurtum [sp?] comes to mind).

You realize you could have responded to my assertion in one paragraph, making your points and responding to my main assertion instead of going after every supporting sentance and making a main assertion of your own? I don't understand why my one paragraph is now divided into five seperate points, which you'll want to debate with equal vigor, when they were simply supporting statements.

        • Sorry Ming, but I hope you will allow me to defend myself from this nonsense.

Added by Ming after deleting most of the post.

NO... because then he will say the same.

          I said enough.
